I think my favourite characters so far might be the sex workers that told Dutch to go fuck himself lol. Outstanding. Lowkey disappointed Angel went with him but a girl has to eat, and at least she ripped him off.
When I started playing I was skimming most of the text, before long I had gone back and started reading it all properly, can't say I do that often. Both MCs are well written. Katherine comes across as a well educated, privileged and intelligent professional woman without being a cliched bitch and Dutch is kind of seedy without drifting into the realm of evil scumbag that most MCs of that type fall into.
Excellent character design and renders as well. The characters actually look like real, idiosyncratic people rather than a parade of supermodels.
One tiny nitpick that should not be taken as criticism: when Dutch said he could tell a male skull from a female skull. I think he would have cited the height and thickness of the corpse rather than the skull, since the sexual dimporhism of the overall body is much more apparent than in just the skull. Though still not completely diagnostic especially when burned.

I have to agree with the folks that praise the game here. Of course, it's a very early stage but it's so refreshing to find well-written dialogues and real life characters. I like both the narration and the art. Hope the choices will be meaningful for the plot, with different paths... Some of them darker than the others; with a twist of perversion or (and?) corruption. Maybe.
Small remarks:
1) I don't believe Dutch's office can look like that - it could be PI's office but not a room in the public administration building. Of course, it's the dev's vision. Just sayin'.
2) The bottle of wine seems to be open, waiting for the guests. It can never happen in a decent restaurant. Just sayin', too.
3) Textbox opacity slider could be useful - at least for some players.
Really good work so far, let it continue like this.

Some thoughts for the dev:
- The split between the FMC and MMC is too jarring, especially when the story is so short at this point. You want your readers/players to get immersed into a character, to empathize/sympathize with them, to actually give a shit about what's going on in their lives. Instead, the story hops back and forth between two characters so flat that I can't find either of them interesting enough to give a shit about what's going on in their lives.
- You introduce a TON of open plot points, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but because of the above point (poor character development), it feels like an avalanche of stuff just flying at me. Serial killers! Dead mob bosses! Unhappy marriage! Alcoholism! Missing rich lady! You've got maybe 20-25 minutes of material here, and ALL of that is already introduced. Save something for .12, fella.
- The tiny, flaccid dicks. Look, I appreciate the effort to make realistic, human-proportioned characters. I get tired of the 'third-leg protagonists' too. But this is a porn game/adult visual novel. You don't need to have every male character have a foot-long schlong, but please stop starting every sex scene with tiny, soft dicks. It just makes me laugh hysterically - which, fine, I'm obviously entertained if I'm giggling like a stoned middle schooler - but laughter is not what I thought I'd get from a gritty/noir AVN. You're making a sex scene; I don't think your readers/players need to see every male character go from baby-dick to hard-on. Just have the men be ready to roll. Christ.
- Like other commenters, the only way I knew Kate was meant to be a main character is because of your summary/dev notes. I actually downloaded this game several days ago but didn't get to try it til today, and I spent 3/4 of all of Kate's screentime wondering what was happening. It seemed clear to me Dutch was the main character and the serial killer was the main plot. Then I randomly get stuck tolerating some dull office talk from a random woman and her coworker? Again - deeper characters would fix so many problems in this.
Ah well. At least laughing my ass off got my endorphins going. I'll sleep well tonight!

General, I don't participate here on F95, but it's really amazing that so many people knows better than the developer how his product should look like... But none of these geniuses have ever made their own game.
Apart from the fact that the creator will provide the product for free, people still feel bad and are still just whimsical. I want this, I want that. Just like spoiled brats.
Other argues about tags, which in the one sense, so obvious shouldn't be there. So lets claryfy... If in a movie with one erotic scene, is such a movie classified as porn movie?
You complain that there's no tag for betrayal... if dev adds this tag, then a dozen others people start accusing him ( dev ) of cheating people, because there's nothing here beyond one scene.
You have the right to subjective criticism on a civilized level, but you do not have the right to demand something from the developer and tell him how his product should look like.

BTW I played Porcelain Dolls, which I downloaded here on F95 and at the moment, in terms of graphics and story I am satisfied. But this is only v0.11 so it depends on how the game develops, when I will be satisfied, even if there is no cheating tag or NTR, I will definitely buy this product on Steam.
And as a last word from me...Using a game that is available for free is a privilege, not an obligation.

I've never directed a movie before, but I still can criticize the Disney Star Wars remakes. I have written a book before, so does that mean I can criticize a story, according to your latest edict? Or is that also being 'demanding' and acting like a 'spoiled brat'?
If anything, you should be happy that people are critical on F95 and not on Steam. Complaining and criticizing an AVN here doesn't threaten the dev's Steam or Itch.io money.

What superiority are you talking about here? You get a free initial product from someone who dedicates his time and you tell that person how to do his job. So I guess this is where you prove that you are above others, because you expect that what you point out will be corrected by the creator..because you want it. For the record, I do not use hand lube, I am a woman.
